A Lovely Scene and More Work

This morning we woke up to a dusting of snow; it was a lovely scene to wake up too. I pulled a K-Cup out of the drawer, popped it into the Keurig and gazed out the kitchen window as I waited for the brew to finish.  Our kitchen window looks out over the childrens play area.  Their jungle gym was covered with a layer of snow, it looked forlorn.

Once my coffee was finished I moved over to peer out the French doors leading to the back deck.  That view is one that looks into a wooded area.  The snow sparkled
on the trees as the sunlight hit them.  My coffee cup warmed my hands as I stood looking at this beautiful sight.

After few more sips, I slipped my shoes on, grabbed my camera and headed out the door.  Sadie wasn't going to be left behind, she stood at the door waiting to be invited out (she was being a good girl this morning).  I snapped a few pictures while she played in the snow (she needed to work some of that Border Collie energy out), then it was back inside for a little warming up.

Oh, I did mention more work.  I looked through many sites to find out how to use the jump break for posts. I finally get it!  So, it was off to more sites to find code to change my "read more" because honestly it was to the left of the posts, same color, same font, it was hard to see it.  I changed the font and color, moved it to the left, changed the words, and added some fanciful parentheses.  I  must admit, I cheated and added it all in the CSS in the Advance section of Template.  Hey, it worked so I'm happy!  I did keep a back up of the codes.

I removed part of my post footer...I prefer a cleaner look.  I also increased the number of posts on my page so visitors don't have to hit the "older posts" button.

Oh, I finally added an About Me post to the "About Me" tab, hope you check it out.

I'm painting on the giveaway to be revealed next week.  I'm almost done...yeah...Looking forward to posting it.

sigh... I miss snow! Lovely photos of your bird houses. I used to have one just like the one in your first photo. After many years, it started to fall apart from warping. It was so cute sitting in the Y of a tree. :)

Just beautiful Willa. It looks so clean and fluffy. I don't even want to think about how cold it was for you to be out there taking the photos. Thanks for peek at your beautiful weather.

Hugs...
