Buttons, Buttons, Glorious Buttons!

As you know, one of my "hopefuls" for 2014 is to blog more often which includes working on my blog so others enjoy stopping by.  There are several things I enjoy about visiting other blogger's sites, of course reading their posts but also seeing the layout and style of their blog.  I have noticed more people are adding social media buttons to blogs so their followers can find them on FB, Twitter, Pinterest and other places.  While searching for a resource for these buttons, I came across those I have posted above.  Carrie of "Carrie Loves" has posted these buttons on her blog along with a tutorial on how to install them.  Thank you Carrie.  You can visit her tutorial HERE

I am excited to be working on my blog again.  I hope to make it a place you enjoy spending a few minutes of your day.  Maybe, like me, you want to work on your blog but are afraid that one little stroke of the key will delete the whole thing, I know I feel that way. As I learn new things I will pass them along for those who are just starting their blogs or those who are trying to freshen their home sweet home on the web up a little.

How did you get the gray box at the end of your post with your social media icons?

Mary, click on design and then on layout. You should see an edit button at the bottom of the blog post block. Click on that edit button. In the edit pop-up, scroll down to "show share button' and check that box. Click "save".

Hope this helps

I must hop over to pinterest and visit you.

I like your signature line, I didn't notice that on your last post.

I think your blog is looking great...I like those buttons too.

Hi Willia, your blog looks great. I'm so glad you are posting all these helpful hints because I've been wanting to make many of the same changes you have and just bookmarked one button tutorial. Frankly is just scares the mess out of me to actually try to implement the changes. My other 2 big changes that I HAVE to make are adding a drop down menu (scares me to death) and a floating pin button that will appear on all my photos. Any tips?

Thanks for sharing and for visiting my blog and entering the giveaway.

Hugs...Tracy @ Cotton Pickin Cute
