I can remember when bread machines were all the craze. I quit buying bread and only used the machine for the bread we used. But like every craze, the fervor soon dies away and my bread machine sat in the pantry for a while unused. I am using the machine again especially since we have homemade peach jam, blackberry jelly and apple butter. Hmmmm, I wonder if anyone will be pulling their bread machine out of the pantry, dusting it off and making some homemade bread for their morning toast.

I will be pulling mine out..but I would love the recipe for the one you made..:) I can almost smell it now.:) oh I love a hot piece of bread with melting butter..:)
I love making homemade bread! Will be making Italian bread tomorrow (not with my bread machine though)and stew for a luncheon. Yummy - apple butter. I haven't had that in years. Reminds me of a lady who gave me some when I was just a kid. She passed away along time ago. Thanks for sharing this blog ~ gives me a chance to think of the impact that dear lady had on the life of a little girl. Hope to see her again one day and let her know just how much she meant to me!

I dont make good bread....but I did make nice big fluffy biscuits to go with a crock pot stew today! Love the smell of things cooking!
Your bread looks great and your post reminded me that it's been too long since I've used my machine. I use it quite often for mixing up pizza dough, but I think it's time to make some bread.

I'm going to try this comment again... I had to delete the above one, as a sentence I wrote didn't make a whole buch of sense after I reread it.. Sometimes my brain goes a whole bunch faster than what my fingers do when it comes to me typing out the words I want to say...
I'm going to chime in with everyone and also say how yummy your baked bread looks!! HHmmm, I, too, can almost smell it now!! Potato soup sounds real good to me too!! Come to think of it, it has been quite some time since I've made some, and soup sounds sooo delish, especially now, with all the cold and snowy weather we now have!
Blessings,

LOL Lynn! don't worry about not making sense, we bloggers know how to make sense of those things since we write that way ourselves. Oh Girl, you gave me a big chuckle!
Ah, that sounds so yummy! Yes, I had a bread machine when it was all the craze. I just asked my husband last week what happened to it. I'm not sure, but I would love to get it out. I loved the smell of bread baking. It makes the whole house smell delicious! Thanks for the memories~
