But...
The canisters are still unpainted.
Uuurgh...I hate indecisions. I think I know what I want and then...
Poooof..
I'm back at square ONE trying to make a decision.
Pleeeease
Tell me I'm not the only one who does this!
Is there medication for this problem?
Seriously,
Thank you to all who commented weighing in on the question
To Paint Or Not To Paint.
I decided on Option ONE
Then
Changed my mind again to Option TWO.
Then
Changed back to ONE and back to TWO again
So, I gave up for a couple of days...
I did want to try a painted glass item so I looked around the kitchen for another possibility. There sitting near the Kuerig was a pickle jar my husband had cleaned up and was using to keep San Francisco Bay coffee (essentially K-cups) in. When he cleaned that pickle jar, I knew I would need to decorate it in some fashion and that time has arrived.
Here's the before.
I first primed the glass with 2 coats of a non-toxic primer.
I then painted it with 2 coats of a soft blue. I taped off the grid for the chalkboard section and painted 2 coats. Once the second coat was finished I taped off the grid for the border and painted it with 2 coats of black. I hand lettered coffee on the the chalkboard section using a white acrylic paint. I painted the lid with 2 coats of chalkboard paint. I finished the jar by tying on a round tag with a thread I pulled from a piece of burlap.
I do love the painted look
Which reminds me
I need to make this decision

I love the painted pickle jar.. Great job! Have you thought about doing a chalkboard square on the front (like a label) and writing what type of coffee it is .. You would not have to paint the whole jar.. Maybe even a larger square with the grey color and then a small chalkboard square in that...regardless, I know you will do wonders with them.. Blessings!
You are not alone...indecisive might be my middle name lol Good luck deciding...Hugs lil raggedy Angie
Looks great! :)
Love how the pickle jar came out.I think on the larger jars that it would look neat to only paint one side, like a label.Blessings,Jen
Indecisive, me? Never! OK, I'm fibbing a whole lot, I second guess myself all the time :O) I think you've found the best of both worlds here Willa, love the paint and then add a chalkboard label! I didn't comment on your first post because I couldn't decide which I liked better either LOL! Deb
Love re-using old jars, especially ones with detail or BIG ole' pickle jars! I used lots of old jars for my Cocoa Bar during Christmas. I never even thought about painting them and yours turned out as cute as could be. Great job! And no, you're not the only one with decision making issues. :)
