Snowflakes! Can you believe that winter is quickly approaching? I don't know about you but it seems like I blinked and summer was gone. For me, no other year has passed as quickly as this one. Maybe it's because I have been so busy, or maybe it's that getting older thing; let's just say it's the former...okay?
Can you smell the snow in the air? I know, I can't wait for that smell. Yes, I can hear some of you groaning at the thought! Sorry, but snow is simply my happy thought.
Ok, the.... bottle. Yep, it's another wine bottle. I am really loving painting on these things. Yes, it's a pain to do the surface prep but after that, it's smooth sailing. Once this bottle was prepped I added the basecoat and simply started painting. I let my paint brush do the walking....in a manner of speaking. No guide lines, I simply knew I wanted a snowman, and maybe a tree, then perhaps a few snowflakes, and a skinny scraf would just be adorable. I think you got the picture. I love to paint free style like this, it's very liberating. I have 2 more bottles lined up; I know I want one to be a Santa and the other one will probably be a ginger or another snowman or snowmen.
Wouldn't this bottle be darling in a kitchen window?
I love the long skinny scarf! Brrrr.....he looks rather frosty! He won't be melting anytime soon. The snowflakes go around the bottle.
Til next time.

Hi Willa,
Thanks for your encouraging words on my last blog post. It's so easy to get overwhelmed these days...sometimes it just takes my breath away, BUT I do know who holds my tomorrow no matter what, and I am blessed.
