Hi Blogger Friends:
I have to blog about this movie "War Horse". My Sweetie and I went to see it last night at our local theater; we've been wanting to see it for a while but went to see some other movies instead. Movies like "Sherlock Holmes" and the "Mission Impossible" three, both excellent movies but nothing compared to "War Horse". This movie is by far the best movie I have seen in a few years, maybe even longer. When I go to a movie, I go for entertainment, I don't go to critique it or feel that I need to see the best movie possible for my money. I'm happy if it entertains me. But this movie, "War Horse" more than entertained me; it drew me into the drama from the very beginning; it made me laugh and then it made me cry; it crushed me, then lifted me up. I was truly swept up into the emotion, the scenes and the drama of the movie. It is one movie that my Sweetie and I talked about on our way home. We talked about, not just one major scene, but many of the scenes and we talked more about it the next day. In typical Spielberg style, he went above and beyond and directed/produced a move of exceptional character. If you haven't seen it, I highly recommend it.
Til next time

I have heard so much about this movie--never anything negative. I am dying to see it--heard everyone is wiping their eyes as they leave the theater. Jan-Life on Buttermilk Hill
Soggibottom Cottage is in Devon, I Dartmoor from looking out of my bedroom window every morning. CAN'T DO IT. Can't see the film ....... Horses are bigger than I am and they always come right up to me.. I never tell them, just because they put their nose to mine I like it. ( I DO)... they are bigger than me :-)
I would make a right prat of myself watching this film. I can't watch it...... As long as nothing dies I am fine !
:-) XXX.......... I even have to switch the TV over to different channels...... Although will someone please tell me WHAT HAPPENS AT THE END ? XXXXXXXX
I have put off seeing this one. Black Beauty was such a heartbreaker. I hate it when the animal dies. I guess I am going to have to give in. This is the second time I have heard someone say it is a great movie. Thanks and blessings!
I LOVED this movie too! It is now one of my favorites.
I confess though, I brought a roll of T.P. with me to share with my mom and cousin.
I agree, it is a must see for sure!
I loved it to. I will buy the DVD when it comes out!
Thanks, Willa. The trailers looked great and I've wanted to go but can't leave the house yet. It will
be on my "must see" list.
Hugs,
Susan

I have heard nothing but good things about this movie. I must go and see it.
Now you have me wanting to see this something fierce (and I'm the kind that usually waits until things come out on tv as hubby isn't much of a movie theatre fan.....) But am I reading that a horse dies??? Don't know if I can handle that.... ;o Thanks for the review - it's always better to have an recommendation. Smiles & Hugs ~ Robin
