Thank you All for your prayers and your kind words, they have meant a lot to me as I have walked through this “valley of the shadow of death”. I must admit I am still in shock and seem to be in an emotional and mental fog. I know that grief is a process and there are no shortcuts through it. I am grateful for the comfort of the Lord I serve and for the prayers and thoughts of friends. I hope to be back blogging soon. As a way of getting back on track I am setting small goals; one is to have my Etsy shop up again by Monday. I hope to be blogging soon as well. I must admit that it is hard to concentrate on anything at the moment so reading blogs, message boards, and other media is sidelined until I can get back on track; I will catch up as soon as possible. On a positive note, I seem to have no problem cleaning and organizing and am going at it like a professional Merry Maid.
This is a photo of a rose in my rose garden. We had quite a storm last night; lots of wind and buckets of rain. Examining my rose bushes for any damage from the storm has shown me that something as fragile as a rose can survive the storm.

You are right, there are no shortcuts through grief. But our Father in Heaven is there with us. And He will hold you up and He will strengthen you. I have two sisters, and the thought of losing one of them is unimaginable to me. But I know that God is in control. Even when things don't seem like it. Joy will come again. That's not my promise, but His. Still praying for you and your family.
I love your rose, roses are my favorite. I was
sorry to hear about your loss Willa. I know it
will take a lot of time to ease the pain and
keeping busy will help. I hope you have a
great weekend!

Take your time and come back when you can. Clean your home is like cleaning your soul! Prayer coming your way!
Willa, it will take time to absorb the pain and grief you are going through. May it comfort you in some small way that your friends will be here waiting for you when you feel you are able to return to blogging. I have been thinking of you and glad you took a moment to let us know how you are.
Hugz~
