Good Friday
Today is Good Friday, the day the Christ was crucified for the redemption of the Earth. I chose this photo because a nice clean cross with a nice clean Jesus on it just couldn't be how it really was. He had been beaten half to death, and a crown of thorns beaten down on His head. I don't think the Crucifixion was a clean event. I hope as we go through this day we will remember the great price He paid for our salvation. Like the old preacher once said "It's Friday, but Sunday's coming". We do have hope beyond the Crucifixion.

Loved the post.So very true Christ went through so much for us all.Kalo Pascha!Greek for Happy Easter!
Yes, we want to picture a neat and tidy death on the cross. We don't want to even imagine the suffering our Saviour endured for us because we know we don't deserve it. So it makes it easier to picture when we think "it wasn't so bad." But He suffered for me and for you. So that if we just seek Him and ask Him to lead us, that we can be forgiven and live with Him for eternity. I am so thankful for His sacrifice today. I belong to Him.
Thank you, Jesus for dying for each one of us.
This is so true.. Thank You Jesus for dying for each one of us..

Yes, this picture is much more touching and true than the crucifix pictures we usually see. I think we hold it in our hearts more when we see the real picture of how He suffered for us. Although gruesome, thank you for sharing this picture!
