Rosemary Bread

Have bread makers fallen out of favor?  Do you have one? Do you use it? We are on our 3rd bread maker.  Yes, we do use it.  I use the dough cycle and then bake the bread in the oven.

This rosemary bread is one of our favorites.  I found the recipe on allrecipes.com one of my go to places when I am looking for a recipe.

Jo's Rosemary bread

1 cup of water
3 tablespoons olive oil
1 1/2 teaspoons white sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1/4  teaspoon Italian seasoning
1 tablespoon dried rosemary
2  1/2 cups of bread flour
1 1/2 teaspoons active dry yeast

Place ingredients in the pan of the bread machine in the order recommended by the manufacturer.  Select white bread cycle and press start.

Simple as that!

As I've already stated, I use the dough cycle on my bread machine; when it is complete, I take the dough out and add to my stone French bread baker.

I allow it to rise in a warm place for about 30 mins and then bake at 350 degrees for 40-45 mins.

We like whole wheat bread, I substitute 1 cup of the bread flour with whole wheat.

Well yes we do use our breadmaker, we just baked up a fresh loaf today as a matter of fact! Nothing like the smell of fresh baked bread, makes the house smell heavenly! Thanks for this recipe, I'll give it a try in a day or two when we need another fresh loaf! Deb
