Winter Senses

The snow softly falls outside my window
beckoning me to a world of gray and white

I slip on my winter wool
and leave the warmth of hearth behind

I am wrapped in the cold mist
my breath frozen
with each exhalation

Frosted crystals gather on my lashes
as I blink in the piercing white
the grayness vanishing.

The fair sound lightly whispers upon the withered leaves
A wordless story from this blanket of white

I am lost into its depths

YOUR photos take my breath away Willa!!! I'm probably repeating myself by now but it's true. I'm overwhelmed by the beauty every time I stop by to visit. I missed you on Valentine's Day but hope yours was filled with love!
